Allergen Notice

Parents will be asked to complete an allergy/dietary requirement form which is sent out in the WHS welcome pack. This form can also be requested at any time by emailing info@wokinghigh.surrey.sch.uk and contains full instructions on how to complete it.  The restaurant and kiosk display clearly identifiable posters which allow students to understand the ingredients in the items they are purchasing. This form together with a payment software system which flags individual students’ intolerances and dietary needs on an automatic warning system at the payment point in the restaurant or kiosk ensure students can be confident when purchasing. All members of the Twelve15 team are fully trained on food safety and reducing cross contamination and are always on hand to assist students if needed. If you require any further clarification on this matter please email info@wokinghigh.surrey.sch.uk

Biometric Cashless System

In common with other local schools we use a biometric cashless system, with payments made using an online account. Students may have their finger scanned, the image is converted into an alpha numeric character and the image is then discarded. Students then simply place their finger on a scanner at the point of sale and a display will show the server the student’s name, class, and current cash balance held within the system. The selected food items will be entered into the system from an itemised keyboard while the amount spent and the new cash balance will show on the display. There is a £6.00 per day limit on spending although this can be extended by arrangement.

Free School Meals

If your child is in receipt of Free School Meals £2.75 will be credited to their account every morning. This money can be used to purchase any of the items for sale in the restaurant, although the £2.75 two course meal is very good value. You may “top up” the account if you wish. If you think your child may be eligible for Free School Meals, you can apply via this link: Free School Meals Application.
