Homework at Woking High School is a key aspect of each student’s curriculum. Tasks are set in order to further develop the knowledge and understanding that has been established during a lesson and to prepare for the learning that will take place in future lessons.

Homework enables students to:

  • consolidate and extend work covered in class or prepare for new learning activities
  • have an opportunity for independent work
  • show progress and understanding
  • enhance their study skills e.g. planning, time management and self discipline
  • take ownership and responsibility for learning
  • engage parental co-operation and support

Parents and carers are able to view the homeworks that teachers have set for their child via the ClassCharts app or website (https://www.classcharts.com/parent/login) using the login code provided. Further parental information regarding the ClassCharts app can be found here: https://pages.classcharts.com/wp-content/uploads/Class_Charts_for_parents_guide.pdf
